C03. Proctor Information
You'll need to find a proctor soon. Here's the NCSSM Online policy for who can be a test proctor:
- Administrators, full-time faculty, instructional staff, or testing centers at accredited universities, colleges or community colleges, or high schools
- Librarians at public libraries
- Private tutoring services
Friends and relatives can't be test proctors. Some of you already have a proctor at school; that same person may serve as your test proctor.
This is an assignment to provide information about the person who will proctor your paper-and-pencil tests and WebAssign quizzes. You'll need to ask someone to supervise your tests and quizzes this semester. When you ask this person, let them know the duties of the proctor:
- For a WebAssign quiz, the proctor provides you with the password to open the quiz and supervises you while you take the quiz in a 45-minute time block that your proctor and you agree on in advance. Proctors are notified of upcoming quizzes a week in advance.
- For a paper-and-pencil test, the teacher sends the proctor the test file a few days in advance of the scheduled test. (Tests are on Wednesdays on these dates: Sept 24, Oct 15, Nov 19, Jan 14.) The proctor prints the test and administers it to you in a 90-minute time block at a time that your proctor and you agree on in advance. After the test, the proctor faxes or scan/emails your paper to the teacher.
Print this page and showing it to potential proctor(s). Once you have a proctor, post the following information to WebAssign C03 by the due time.
- Name of your proctor (title, first name, last name)
- Affiliation (e.g. school) and job title (e.g. counselor)
- Contact info: email and phone
