V107. Video Demonstration:  Penny on a Hanger

Before doing the following, you should have studied Solving Circular Motion Problems. That material will help you in analyzing the forces and accelerations for what we call the penny on a hanger problem. You'll begin by watching a video about a penny swung in a circle by a hanger. Afterwards, you'll submit answers to questions about the forces acting on the penny in different parts of its swing. You may wish to try the demonstration yourself at home. It's simple to do.
